Professional profile
Dr Roland Watura trained at the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff. He is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. He specialises in most areas of musculoskeletal radiology which involves the investigation and treatment of tendon, soft tissue, bone and joint pathologies. He has a particular specialist interest in spine imaging and fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT guided spine therapeutic procedures.
Dr Watura has published widely in peer reviewed journals including the following commissioned review articles; ‘Multislice CT in imaging of trauma of the spine, pelvis and complex foot injuries’ (British Journal of Radiology 2004), ‘Ultrasound guided Intervention in the ankle and foot’ (BJR 2015) and ‘Imaging in Spine Trauma’ (Rad Magazine 2018). Dr Watura is frequently invited to lecture at professional conferences such as the UK Radiology Congress, and to teach on various courses. He is also commissioned as an expert in medicolegal work
